Make your own Soothing Bath Salts



Making your own bath salts is simple. With a few ingredients you can create a personal bath salt that will enrich your bath experience.


Combine 4-6 drops of your favorite essential oils in 2 Tablespoons of carrier oil (olive, almond, jojoba, etc) with 1 ounce of Epsom salt and 1 ounce of baking soda. You can add sea or mineral salts as well as ground herbs or flower petals. Mix well. Add 1 to 3 Tablespoons to warm bath water and enjoy.


Some oils that make lovely baths are rose, geranium, lavender, eucalyptus. I personally advise caution with using oils like peppermint, cinnamon, clove. I find them too potent, even in small amounts for use in baths and have found that they actually create a somewhat burning effect.
